Boston dealers caught in major national drugs operation

The group got more than 100 years in prison between them

Police caught out three people from Boston who were part of a major conspiracy to supply drugs across the country.

Leicestershire Police caught a group of 22 people when they found videos of luxury hotel stays where some of the defendants were counting large sums of money.

The group was handed more than 100 years in prison between them.

During raids, officers recovered cocaine, cannabis, cash and designer goods including customised watches.

The investigation identified Ashley Boyd and Clint Jones as the brains behind the business-like operation.

Both men were part of an organised criminal network, dealing and making money from the misery of drugs.

Jordan Vaughan, 24, of Powell Street, Boston, Lincolnshire, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to supply Class A and B drugs and was sentenced to six years in prison.

Jacob Holland, 24, of Judge Close, Boston, Lincolnshire, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to supply Class B drugs and was sentenced to 12 months in prison, suspended for two years.

He will also be required to carry out 150 hours unpaid work.

Harlom Everett, 24, of Fishtoft Road, Boston, Lincolnshire, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to supply Class A and B drugs.

He was sentenced to six years and eight months in prison.

Detective Inspector Lee Hunt said: “Between them, these individuals will now serve more than 100 years behind bars. The conviction and subsequent sentences show how seriously we and the courts take these crimes.

“These criminals were part of an organised network who operated not just in Leicestershire but Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, and Liverpool. During the enforcement, we executed more than 50 warrants across those counties and cities.

“This was a significant operation for us but our work doesn’t end here. We know there is always someone waiting to fill the gap left by others and we will continue in our efforts to stop the misuse of drugs and carry out further operations of the nature to disrupt the criminal activity.”
