Boston man attacks workers in hospital rampage

He has been charged with 11 offences

A Boston man who allegedly attacked doctors, police and damaged equipment at the hospital has been charged with 11 offences.

Levi Emmanuel, 28, of Field Street, has been charged after police attended reports of a disturbance at Boston Pilgrim Hospital.

The incident was reported at 5.53pm on Saturday, February 15.

Police attended and arrested the man.

Emmanuel has been charged with three counts of assault by beating of an emergency worker – two of these relate to attacks on doctors and the other a police officer.

He was also charged with four counts of common assault on an emergency worker and one count of affray. The common assaults refer to attacks on police officers.

Charges have also been brought for criminal damage. These relate to the damage of a hospital monitor, an audio recording device at the police station in Lincoln Lane and a police officer’s jacket.

He appeared before Lincoln Magistrates today and has been remanded to appear at Lincoln Crown Court at a later date.
