Decorating firm invests £175k into new Lincoln store

The move will create four jobs in the area

Decorating supplies firm Kent Blaxill invested £175,000 and created four local jobs by opening a new store in Lincoln.

The new 3,000 square feet unit will open on March 12 at Bishops Trade Park, just off Outer Circle Road.

The company is a long-established family firm in the East of England, with over 180 years’ trading in the building and decorating merchant sector.

It will sell trusted paint brands and also bring in new paints to the area like highly rated Scandinavian brand Tikkurila.

Managing Director, Simon Blaxill, said: “Opening a store in Lincoln has been on our agenda for a number of years, so we are pleased to finally open our doors.

“Our ethos is based on quality products, fair pricing, and customer service and we know this will be attractive to quality tradesmen, interior decorators and DIY enthusiasts across Lincoln and the surrounding areas.”

James Park, the commercial director, added: “Our Lincoln store is designed to enable customers to select colour in relaxed surroundings.

“After Lincoln, we will open a further new store in Newark in the autumn as we continue to expand across the Eastern region.”
