Under siege: Lincoln Castle among heritage site coronavirus closures

The closures will also affect the city’s Usher Gallery and Collection

Lincoln Castle, the Usher Gallery and the Collection are among county council-run heritage sites set to close tomorrow as the authority looks to “reduce the spread of coronavirus”.

County council run heritage sites across Lincolnshire are set to close from tomorrow (Wednesday, March 18) to “reduce the spread of coronavirus,” the authority has confirmed.

The full list of closures:

  • Lincoln Castle
  • Museum of Lincolnshire Life
  • The Collection
  • Usher Gallery
  • Gainsborough Old Hall
  • Lincolnshire Archives

The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight visitor centre, run in partnership with the RAF, closed access to the planes today (Tuesday). The visitor centre will be closed from tomorrow.
