Police and forensics attended an incident at a house not far from the Lincolnshire Co-op store on Queen Elizabeth Road, where a man in his 60s was found with a serious head injury.
Two men have been arrested and remain in custody after the man was found on Riseholme Road in Lincoln soon after midnight. A police cordon has been put in place on Queen Elizabeth Road.
A few police vans were also spotted at the scene and officers remained at the scene as of 3.20pm.

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said: “We are investigating an incident in which a man in his 60s was found with a serious head injury in Riseholme Road, Lincoln, soon after midnight.
“Two men have been arrested in connection with this, a 44 and a 47-year-old man. They remain in custody. As part of our investigations we have a police cordon in place in Queen Elizabeth Road.”

A local resident, who wished to remain anonymous, claimed to The Lincolnite that they were told there was a lot of blood on the path outside further down Queen Elizabeth Road opposite Edendale Gardens.

Police would like to speak to anyone who may have seen this man, or anyone who may have dashcam footage of the area at around the time of the incident.
