A female care worker suffered minor injuries and was left very shaken after a reported mugging in Scunthorpe.
The woman was cycling along Burringham Road when she was approached from behind by a male stranger at around 6.30am on Saturday, April 18.
It is then reported that the man dragged the key worker from her bike before stealing her handbag.
The man is described as being white, in his early 20s and dressed in all black clothing with a black bobble hat.
Police are appealing for witnesses and Detective Inspector Vicky Huyton said: “Understandably, this was a very upsetting incident for a key worker in the local community.
“If you witnessed anything suspicious in the area that morning, I would urge you to make contact with us.
“I would also ask that drivers who were in the area at the time check their dashcam footage.”
Anyone with information or dashcam footage should contact Humberside Police on 101 quoting incident number 63 of April 18.
Alternatively, it can also be reported through the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
