Over 230 COVID-19 patients now discharged from Lincolnshire hospitals

The number is 46 more than the last update

More than 230 patients diagnosed with COVID-19 have now been discharged from Lincolnshire hospitals.

United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust Mark Brassington celebrated the number of discharges – now standing at 231 – on social media.

He said the number of people being discharged “continued to grow”.

The figure is an increase of 46 on the last update on April 30 – at which time the number of patients discharged was 185.

“Our teams continue to amaze,” said Mr Brassington..

“Not only treating our ‘normal’ patients, but now taking COVID in their stride whilst planning to restart more services in a way to keep patients and staff safe “

At the time of his post, nine of the patients had been treated in intensive care, he said.

So far 116 patients with coronavirus have died at United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust facilities.

Another three have died at Lincolnshire Community Health Service facilities and 54 people have passed away at Lincolnshire County Council-managed care homes.
