Man ‘thrown onto train tracks’ during violent Grimsby assault

Stones were also thrown at him

A man was allegedly punched, kicked and thrown onto the train tracks during a violent assault at Grimsby railway station.

The man was sitting on the platform when he was approached by two other men at around 7.15pm on Tuesday, July 21.

It is reported that one of the men started to kick and punch the man before throwing him onto the tracks, where he hit his head on the rail.

The victim managed to get back on the platform, but the two men continued to threaten him and throw stones towards him.

Investigating officers from British Transport released a CCTV image on August 21 of two men they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.

They believe the men may have information that could help with their investigation.
