Man arrested after Lincoln ‘stabbing’

A 36-year-old man was arrested after allegedly stabbing another male in Bracebridge, Lincoln where a machete was recovered during a raid by armed police.

Firearms officers from Lincolnshire Police were called to Victoria Street shortly before 8pm on Wednesday, September 23.

Police said a man in his 20s was taken to hospital for treatment for injuries believed to be stab wounds, but they are not life threatening.

A 36-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and a machete was also recovered at the scene.

Local resident Darren Gallacher told The Lincolnite that neighbours were asked to stay inside whilst the raid was taking place at a flat at Fleming House. He believes a lot of drugs were found, but this has not been confirmed.

This is the second time in less than a week that police have raided Victoria Street.

Four people were arrested – three men aged 58, 36 and 27, and a 35-year-old woman – after police found what was believed to be crack cocaine at a house on the street.
