Lincoln Mosque to hold open day as part of national initiative

Lincoln Central Mosque will hold an open day event to give members of the local community an engaging insight into the life of the mosque.

The Mosque Open Day will be held between 11am and 4pm on Sunday, September 4 at the Lincoln Central Mosque and Cultural Centre on Dixon Street.

The yearly event was suspended in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, but Lincoln Mosque is now once agains taking part in the national #VisitMyMosque initiative.

In the spirit of friendship and conversation, it hopes to give members of the local community an engaging insight into the life of the mosque and to promote greater understanding of Islam.

The Muslim Community of Lincoln said: “The open attitude of the mosque and its people make a major contribution in fostering interfaith and intercultural understanding in the local community.”
