Lincoln MP and councillors raise more red flags over Western Growth Corridor flooding

Karl McCartney calls for accountability as the development faces scrutiny from multiple fronts

Lincoln’s MP, senior county councillors, and even City of Lincoln councillors remain unconvinced about the Western Growth Corridor development, as residents continue to express flooding concerns ahead of the first phase of housing.

In the aftermath of Storm Babet, Lincoln MP Karl McCartney commented on the “sad” sight of Lincoln flooding once more and expressed his sympathy for the damage inflicted on homes and businesses. He plans to liaise with Lincolnshire County Council and other authorities to enhance resilience and assess the future impact of flood defences.
