Lincolnshire Business hosted the second annual Lincolnshire Digital Awards, bringing businesses together to celebrate the outstanding and innovative successes that the county has to offer the world.
Some 230 business representatives attended the awards held at The Engine Shed on April 28, around 100 more than last year, in anticipation of winning an accolade for their digital achievements.
Guests were wowed by an unforgettable, immersive 3D light projection and sound display performed by Dead Skull as part of the night’s entertainment whilst eagerly awaiting the winner announcements.
BBC Radio Lincolnshire’s Melvyn Prior presented the evening, revealing there had been over 90 entries across the eight categories with more than 25 local companies and individuals making the shortlist for the awards.
Winners were determined by a panel of 12 judges who had to make some difficult decisions to select the most innovative, unique and outstanding work in the county, but it was business management software company OrderWise that walked away with the top award as Digital Business of the Year.
David Hallam, Managing Director of Orderwise, said: “This is an award for all the remarkable and highly talented staff in the company. Everyone has worked incredibly hard to make OrderWise the amazingly successful company it is today. It’s wonderful for the company to be recognised for its efforts.”
Publisher of Lincolnshire Business Daniel Ionescu said: “This year’s awards have met our high expectations with almost double the number of entries, meaning that the scale of this Lincolnshire Digital Awards was bigger and better than ever before.
“There is some amazing talent across the county and some of the winners tonight have truly helped put Lincolnshire on the map. The performance by Dead Skull was something that guests will remember for a long time and is going to be hard to beat at next year’s awards.”
