What to expect inside Lincoln’s new £200k Spar Deli

Spar has reopened in Lincoln city centre with a build your own sandwich and breakfast deli after a major £200,000 refurbishment.

The convenience store closed its doors and staff were sent away for training at the start of January but it has now reopened after just over two weeks.

Now the much bigger and brighter store on Brayford Wharf East in the Junxion student accommodation building has a Spar Deli, where customers can pick up fresh food at breakfast or at lunch.

Staff are serving up breakfast until 11am and customers can add six breakfast items to their sandwich for just £3. Choose from bacon, sausage, omelette, beans, potato rosti, mushrooms and more.

For anyone who doesn’t want fancy all of that in a bap, Spar also have full English breakfast pots and a veggie breakfast pot from £2.39.

Mark Paddison, area manager in Lincolnshire, told The Lincolnite: “We are all really chuffed with the refurbishment, absolutely everything in the store is brand new and looks great.

“The main feature is the Daily Deli bar where we serve breakfast and then lunch later in the day. The whole store has been built around the fresh food bar, but it still has those convenience items.

“I’m really happy and all of the staff are happy with how it’s turned out after just over two weeks of work.”
