A Lincolnshire mum has thanked organisers and St John’s Ambulance medics at Heckington Show for saving her son’s life on Saturday, July 30.

Angela Window’s 12-year-old son Calvin had a severe asthma attack at Heckington Show.

Calvin was airlifted to Sheffield Children’s Hospital from the main ring following his asthma attack and was taken into intensive care.

He was put into an induced coma to relieve a pressure build up on his lungs.

Thankfully, Calvin was released from intensive care yesterday (Tuesday, August 2) and is now recovering at home.

Angela has thanked medics for their professionalism and care.

She said: “Words can not describe how thankful we are as a family for the professionalism shown by the Heckington Show medics who took my son Calvin into their care on Saturday as a result of his asthma attack.

“Their care and the decision to request the Air Ambulance undoubtedly saved his life.

“I have been showing him the pictures and videos from the show and he can not remember a thing.

“We are totally humbled by all the well wishes.”
