Arrest warrant issued for man accused of attacking police officer

He failed to show up at court.

An arrest warrant has been issued for a man who was due in court accused of assaulting a police officer.

Barry James Wright, 47, of no fixed abode, was charged with being drunk and disorderly in a public place and assaulting a constable.

The incident happened on Tuesday, July 18 in Skegness, where PC Sally West was assaulted whilst arresting someone for being drunk and disorderly.

He was due to appear at Boston Magistrates’ Court on August 9.

However, he did not attend.

Magistrates have now issued a warrant for his arrest.
