Lincolnshire skier’s body found in French Alps

His body was found last week.

A Lincolnshire skier who went missing in the French Alps after going for “one last run alone” has been found dead.

John Bromell, 39, from Willingham by Stow near Gainsborough, was last seen on the Paquis chairlift in the resort of Tignes on the afternoon of Sunday, January 7.

He had gone out in what was described at the time in treacherous heavy snow.

Friends and family had become concerned when they could no longer reach him on his mobile phone.

French police have now confirmed that his body was found last week.

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office said: “Our staff are supporting the family of a British man following his death in France.”
