Purse stolen from elderly blind woman in Stamford

Bank cards, store cards and cash were taken

An 89-year-old blind woman’s purse containing money and bank cards was allegedly stolen in Stamford this morning.

Lincolnshire Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward after the theft, which is believed to have happened in the High Street area of Stamford during the morning of Tuesday, September 17.

The woman noticed that the zip was open on one of her bags and that her long, black leather purse was missing.

Bank cards, store cards and some £20 notes were taken.
