Former Lincoln accountant Russell Payne has been remanded into custody after he was convicted of fraud and transferring proceeds while bankrupt, it can now be revealed.

Payne, 63, formerly of Eastgate, Lincoln, and later of Spain, was found guilty of fraud contrary to Section 1 of the Fraud Act 2006 after a trial at Lincoln Crown Court in September. The jury’s verdict could not be reported as Payne (pictured above) faced a further charge of transferring proceeds while bankrupt.

A Grantham man faces a possible jail sentence after he admitted wounding another man in a pub.

Lincolnshire Police received reports a man had been injured with a pint glass at the Old Bank Pub, in High Street, Grantham, at around 1.15am on Saturday, June 10, 2023. Kieran Bostock, of Kestrel Court, Grantham, was charged with the Section 18 offence of wounding Joseph Spence-Arnold with intent to cause him grievous bodily harm.
