A Lincoln mum has shared her gratitude and brought to light the outstanding work of the Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance after they did their best to save her son, who sadly died in a motorbike crash on Monday, May 9 this year.

Connor Peters was 22 when his black Lexmoto motorcycle collided with a white Isuzu van.

Connor’s mum, Michelle, told BBC Look North: “For an hour and 20 minutes they tried so hard to save my boy’s life, and although they didn’t I couldn’t thank them enough.”

The Air Ambulance is now recruiting for another person to join the team helping families deal with what happens once the immediate medical crisis is over.

A medical centre in Spalding is set to expand after buying of a second former health centre.

Beechfield Medical Centre currently offers primary care services to almost 20,000 patients from their premises on Beechfield Gardens in the town.

Now, following the purchase by GP partners of an additional premises on the site of the former Pennygate Health Centre, the growing patient population and workforce will be accommodated at the new site.

Named ‘Beechfield West Medical Centre’, all registered patients will have access to services across both sites, which will run simultaneously, providing all the current services the existing site offers as well as new clinical services.

Dr Janarthanam Babu, one of the GP Partners at Beechfield, said this was a very exciting chapter for not only the medical centre, but for patients and the wider local community.

He said: “The new premises will be used as a branch site, in addition to our existing main site on Beechfield Gardens.

“There is still a lot of work to do. We are currently working with local tradesmen and contractors to bring the site up to a modern standard and hope to begin providing services in our new branch site from early 2023.

“We thank all our staff and patients for their continued support and look forward to sharing this journey with you.”

He said that hopefully, the dual site will provide some additional services in the future.
