Rail passengers in Lincoln(shire) can end up paying almost three times as much for a train to London when booking using machines at the station, instead of online/app bookings.

Analysis from consumer group Which? found that same-day rail tickets were, on average, 50% more expensive at station machines compared to online booking. Our research in Lincoln shows that it can be up to three times more expensive.

The tragedy of Bronson Battersby in Skegness is “not an isolated incident” when it comes to social service failings, said the organisers of a peaceful protest outside Lincolnshire County Council’s offices next week.

Protestors will gather outside County Offices on Newland in Lincoln at 8.30am on Wednesday, January 24, criticising a wide range of support and social services operated by Lincolnshire County Council.
