Lincoln-based chartered surveyors Hodgson Elkington will celebrate 20 years of business in the city next month with a bang.

The firm will host a champagne reception for its employees, clients and local leading business people at a Lincoln hotel on November 12.

The event will mark 20 years to the day since the firm emerged in 1990 during the depths of the last property recession.

This followed a management buy-out from Prudential of the commercial and professional divisions by Sam Elkington and Chris Hodgson.

Hodgson Elkington’s Senior Partner, Sam Elkington said the next few years in the trade will be challenging:

“We have seen our business grow considerably over the first 20 years and along with a well established client base we now feel that the time is right to move forward.

“The uncertainties of the current economic climate are, however, not so very different from those that we have faced in the past when we started this business.

“We now look forward to the next 20 years with optimism and enthusiasm.”

Hodgson Elkington, based at Oak House on Doddington Road, have over 30 staff, 8 of which are charted surveyors.
