Alternative Market to return to Lincoln

Encore: The healthy Hub will be hosting another Alternative Christmas market this weekend.

After last week’s impromptu set up of Alternative Christmas Market, The Healthy Hub on Beaumont Fee will be hosting another.

The event on December 3 to 5 saw 30 of the original market stallholders left in Lincoln set up in the cafe and car park after Lincoln Christmas Market was cancelled.

More stallholders applied to the mini-market but were not been able to get a space, and The Healthy Hub said it would be making at least 10 more spaces.

The next Alternative Market will be held this weekend on December 11 to 12, 10am to 6pm on Saturday and 10am to 5pm on Sunday.

The stalls will sell mainly local gifts, crafts and food, such as Jenny’s Jams, Christmas Creations, The Letter Art Company and Lincolnshire Poacher Cheese.

Chief Executive at The Healthy Hub Rebecca Dray said: “Last week was evidence of what can be achieved when a community comes together for a common cause.

“There was a fantastic atmosphere with thousands of visitors passing through the doors and we hope that many more people from Lincoln and the wider region can attend this weekend.”

Local businesses that want a stall that can run in the car park can contact Rebecca Dray on 01522 523818 or email.
