Trainee nurses donate to children’s wards

Helping hand: Trainee nurses have donated presents to children’s wards in Lincoln.

Cadet nurses from Lincoln County Hospital have teamed up with Lincoln College pupils to buy presents for children on the wards.

With BTEC Health and Social Care students, the trainee nurses gave the hospital’s Ruston Ward and Lincoln Ward hampers full of gifts for children over Christmas.

The nurses decided to give the children gifts after being in the wards over the week.

The hampers included stickers, christmas decorations for the play rooms, crayons, colouring books and other drawing materials.

Play Specialist Carol Blakeborough said: “We are always grateful when people think of us. The children who visit our ward will really benefit from these gifts.”
