St Mark’s Shopping Centre will play host to a tasty new event this weekend — the Regional Food Fair.
From February 5, on the first Saturday of every month, shoppers will be able to taste food favourites from across the region.
Expect food such as Lincoln Red Beef, Lincolnshire Plum Bread, local specialist chilli and even handmade dog biscuits and cakes.
Event Organiser from White House Farm (Foods) Susan Smith said: “Seventeen producers have now booked places at the Regional Food Fair.
“Everyone is hoping for a good day’s trading and looking forward to returning throughout the year.”
Lincoln BIG Events and Promotions Manager Michael Armstrong said: “Our traditional High Street and Castle Hill Farmers’ Markets are highly popular and we are sure that this addition to our calendar, will really complement those.
“We believe the Regional Food Fair will help to attract more people to St Mark’s and enhance their shopping experience in that part of the city.”
The regional market, which will take place across the East Midlands, is supported by the European Regional Development Fund.
