Residents can get free dance classes

Free Zumba: Moorland residents can take part in free fitness classes of Zumba, a popular dance movement.

The Moorland Community Centre on Turner Avenue in Lincoln will be holding a month’s worth of free Zumba classes for residents.

Zumba is a popular dance movement, which combines aerobics with salsa and Latin music to create a fun, high-cardio workout.

The free classes, held with a licensed Zumba instructor begin on March 2 and will run every Wednesday until March 30.

Healthy Lifestyles Team Leader at the City of Lincoln Council Joanna Smith said: “We wanted to bring an interesting exercise class to the Moorland area and Zumba is the perfect solution!

“In partnership with the Neighbourhood Team, we’re running the taster sessions free of charge throughout March to see if they’re popular.

“If people enjoy them, we’ll look at extending the classes.”

You must be aged 18 or over to take part and from the Moorland area.
