Eye patients at Lincoln County Hospital will be now benefitting from a new specialist’s expertise.
Newly appointed Consultant Ophthalmologist Molham Entabi specialises in medical retina and glaucoma treatment.
It means the the hospital’s ophthalmic service can expand too, meeting the demand in Lincoln for the above treatment.
Entabi also runs general eye clinics at the hospital in Lincoln and Gainsborough, as well as dealing with retinal diseases like Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD).
Entabi said: “Lincoln County Hospital has a very dedicated ophthalmology team and that is why I chose to return here, after working as a senior house officer at the hospital from 1998 to 2000.
“The department deals with a wide range of eye problems and I feel that Lincoln County Hospital offers me the opportunity to broaden my skills across many speciality areas.
“I have been warmly welcomed back by all of my colleagues and patients and am delighted to be here.”
After leaving the city’s hospital in 2000, he worked at Hillingdon and Western Eye hospitals in London until 2010.
He was also awarded a fellowship in glaucoma and medical retina in 2006 and in 1999 a general ophthalmology fellowship from the Royal College of Edinburgh.
