Safe theft and ATM attacked at Post Office

ATM theives: An uphill Post Office has been closed until further notice due to a big theft overnight.

Lincolnshire Police are appealing for information after a safe theft and ATM attack at the Oval Post Office on Wolsey Way.

Offenders got away with a substantial amount of money, as well as a large amount of cigarettes and related goods, like cigarette papers.

It is thought that the incident occurred between late on July 20 and early morning on July 21.

Entry was gained after offenders forced their way in through the rear door of the premises.

The Oval Post Office is currently closed until further notice.

Police are appealing for people to get in touch if they heard or saw something suspicious, but also look out for odd sales of cigarettes as this could be related.

Likewise, the police want to know if anyone comes across what could be parts of the ATM or safe.
