Woman and boy freed from A46 car crash

A46 crash: Emergency services attended and worked to free two people from a crash on the A46 Lincoln.

A woman and a boy were freed from a crash on the A46 in Lincoln on Monday morning.

The crash happened at about 9.45am on September 12 on the westbound carriageway of A46 between the Skellingthorpe and Carholme roundabouts.

A maroon Fiat car was parked at the side of the road when it was hit from behind by a lorry.

Emergency services attended and worked to free two people from the car, a woman and a boy.

Both lanes of the A46 westbound carriageway are currently closed and diversions are in place.

People are asked to avoid the area if possible.
