Police tasered and arrested a Lincoln man on Thursday after a day-long stand-off on Goldsmith Walk.

Officers were called around 11.30am on October 27, after reports of a man firing a crossbow from a first floor window into the street.

Police and dog handlers contained the situation, while people living on the street were being kept away from their homes.

Police tasered and arrested a 46-year-old local man in connection with this incident at around 5.30pm last night.

He is currently in custody at Lincoln Police Station helping police with their enquiries.
