Early bin collections for Olympic Torch relay

Preparations: Burton Road residents will need to put their bins out slightly earlier for the Olympic Torch relay’s arrival.

Residents of the Burton Road area of Lincoln will need to put their bins out slightly earlier on Thursday, June 28.

The Olympic Torch Relay will travel through Burton Road as it exits the city, so the road will be closed from 7.30am to around 8.30am.

The following streets will be affected:

  • Burton Road
  • NAAM Place
  • NAAM Grove
  • Gray Street
  • Kingsley Street
  • Wilson Street
  • Carlton Street

Residents in these areas should put their bins out the night before, or before 6am on June 28.
