Uphill Lincoln buildings defaced with graffiti

Police appeal: Several historical buildings in Lincoln have been defaced with graffiti.

Lincolnshire Police are appealing for witnesses after several historical buildings in Lincoln have been defaced with graffiti.

This reportedly happened overnight between June 1 and 2.

White and black spray cans were used for graffiti in Minster Yard, Drury lane, Gibraltar Hill, Hungate, Flaxengate, Danesgate and Clasketgate.

Several of the graffitis have been removed, but some are still visible on buildings such as The Usher Gallery (pictured above).

Police are asking for witnesses to come forward and call the non-emergency number 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
