A selection of libraries in Lincoln will be holding a number actives over the summer holidays.
On July 27, Ermine Library will celebrate its 50th birthday with a Fit at Fifty event — a chance for all ages to enjoy fun fitness activities.
The free activities, running from 10am to 2pm, range from ball games to smoothie tasting.
Councillor Eddy Poll, Executive Member for Cultural Services, said: “We wanted to do something special to mark the occasion, something the entire community could enjoy.
“So we’re inviting people to bring along a picnic and join in the fun. We can give you a health check with our body MOT service, and there’ll be story time, crafts and songs to keep younger visitors entertained. There really is something for everyone.”
On August 25 to September 8, the library will also hold a book sale. Opening times are Monday and Friday 10am-6pm, Tuesday and Thursday 2-6pm and Saturday 10am-1pm.
Meanwhile, Birchwood Library will hold an activity morning on August 3 from 10.30am.
Residents can take part in the Summer Reading Challenge, involving fun activities, crafts and trails.
Boultham Library will host a similar event from 10am, August 4. Additionally, it will hold a book sale on August 6 to 18.
