Cyclist seriously injured in A15 Caenby Corner crash

Caenby Corner crash: A 45-year-old cyclist has suffered a serious head injury in a collision on the A15.

A 45-year-old man was seriously injured in a crash at the Bishops Norton turnoff on the A15 near Caenby Corner on Friday, August 31.

Emergency services were called to the incident at around 4.10pm after a pedal cyclist was involved in a crash with a blue Vauxhall Corsa.

The cyclist, a 45 year-old man from Corringham, suffered a head injury and he is currently in a serious but stable condition at Hull Royal Infirmary.

The driver of the Corsa is an 88 year-old man from London who was uninjured.

The A15 was closed for several hours on Friday following the incident.

Police are appealing for any witnesses who have not yet come forward to contact them on 101, quoting the incident number 315 of August 31, or call the Collision Witness Hotline on 01522 558855.
