Man charged with murder as woman dies after assault

Murder case: Police charge man with murder after 72-year-old woman dies in hospital following an assault at her home.

— Update on Sunday, October 14: 38-year-old local man Kazik Pasierbek has been charged with the murder of 72-year-old Margaret Lynette Krawcewicz, both of St Botolph’s Crescent in Lincoln. He is due to appear in court on Monday, October 15.


— October 13: Lincolnshire Police has launched a murder investigation after a 72-year-old woman died following an assault at her home in Lincoln.

Officers were called to the woman’s house at 6.13am on Friday, October 12, and she was taken to Lincoln County Hospital in a serious condition.

As previously reported, a short time later a 38-year-old local man was arrested in connection with the incident.

The woman died in hospital on Friday afternoon. She was Margaret Lynette Krawcewicz, 72, of St Botolph’s Crescent in Lincoln.

A post-mortem has been carried out on Saturday to establish the cause of death.

The 38-year-old man in police custody has now been charged with murder and will appear in court on October 15.
