Monday disruptions as more snow expected in Lincolnshire
Wintry conditions: More than 50 schools are closed on Monday across Lincolnshire due to wintry conditions, and the Met Office has forecast more snow later in the day, warning of travel disruptions.
Gritters treated the major A and B routes in Lincolnshire, but some patches remain treacherous and police advise driving with care.

In the Lincoln area, Sincil Sports College is closed, as well as the Fortuna Primary School, Cherry Willingham Primary and Skellingthorpe The Holt Primary.

Temperatures on Monday in Lincoln are expected to stay around -1°C, and drop to -3°C on Tuesday, when more icy conditions are forecast. The snowfall is expected to stop by Tuesday.
A band of snow will affect the northern part of the county during Monday. Inland accumulations of 2-5cm of snow are widely expected.
Lincolnshire County Council’s fleet of 43 gritters has been out treating major A and B roads across the county in the morning and will continue through the day. Snow ploughs are on standby.
Snow disruptions
The City of Lincoln Council refuse and recycling collections are currently taking place, however the Landfill Site on Whisby Road is closed and the next open site is Gainsborough.
This means collections will be delayed and arrangements will be put in place for those not collected due to the adverse weather.
Refuse and recycling must be presented for collection by 7am.
The North Kesteven District Council also suspended its refuse and recycling collections on Monday due to the weather conditions. This includes North Hykeham.
Some bus services affected by the weather are Service 13 to Waddington, currently suspended due to icy hill on Station Road. More bus disruptions.
East Midlands Airport and Robin Hood Airports were closed until the afternoon due to poor conditions on the runway.
There are some delays on East Midlands Trains services due to the snow. The 8.35 Lincoln to Leicester service will arrive around 30 min late and the 10.39 from Peterborough has been cancelled. Live info.
Lincolnshire Police has no serious incidents to report across the county.
In the morning in Lincoln, a bus was stuck at the bottom of Waddington Hill and a car broke down on the A46 between Skellingthorpe and Carholme Road.

We are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage after a collision caused serious injuries to a 23-year-old man.
Just before 3.30pm yesterday (2 July), we received reports of a collision on Barholm Road in Tallington. It involved a grey BMW 335D estate, a blue BMW 116D and an orange KTM motorcycle.
The motorcycle rider, a 23-year-old man, sustained serious injuries during the collision and was taken to hospital.
