Two men arrested after robbery at Lincoln arcade shop

High Street robbery: Two local men were arrested after a staff at a Lincoln arcade shop were threatened with knives and cash was stolen.

Two local men were arrested after staff at a Lincoln High Street arcade shop was threatened with knives and cash was stolen.

The robbery happened at around 7.35pm on Tuesday, January 29, at Ling’s Amusements, Opposite the Iceland store on the lower High Street.

Two men wearing hoods or scarves covering their faces entered the arcade store and threatened the staff with knives.

They escaped via a rear exit with some stolen cash, the amount of which has yet to be confirmed.

No-one was injured but the staff were shaken by the incident.

Two local men aged 30 and 35 were later arrested near the University of Lincoln Brayford campus.

The men remain in custody and will be interviewed later on Wednesday.
