A new tyre and exhaust service is set to open in Lincoln in April, a joint venture between two companies set to create six new jobs.
Tanvic Group Limited and B A Bush Limited took on a 10-year lease of unit 7 at the Pelham Centre, currently home of ZR Tyres.
The lease will see ZR Tyres refurbished with a “six figure” sum, as well as creating six new jobs and “more to come” in Lincoln. The latest garage equipment will be installed in the unit.
ZR Tyres shares 160 parking spaces in the Pelham Centre with Machine Mart, Portland Tools, Elixir Bathrooms, Mattressman, John Cheatle (Uniforms), Party Planet and headquarters for Lincolnshire Road Safety Partnership and Lincoln College.
Steve McCracken, a director of ZR Tyres, said: “We feel very optimistic about the future of this new business.
“We will be investing a six figure sum into completely refurbishing and installing new garage equipment.
“Six new jobs will be created initially and we would expect more as the business develops.
“It is a natural progression of the strong relationship the two companies have developed and we look forward to a bright future ahead serving the motoring public of Lincoln and the surrounding area.”
Hodgson Elkington LLP helped Pelham Centre owners, Howtin Investments Ltd, secure the lease.
Dan Race, partner at Hodgson Elkington LLP, said: “The business will be ideally situated adjacent to the Pelham Bridge dual carriageway, one of the busiest roads in Lincolnshire.
“With the proven track record of two well established and respected businesses both in private ownership and located midway between their respective homelands, ZR Tyres has the potential to be very successful. We wish them well.”
