Woman injured in collision with truck on Burton Road

In a stable condition: An 83 year-old woman has been injured in collision with a truck on Burton Road near the A46 flyover.

An 83 year-old woman has been injured in collision with a truck on Burton Road, near the A46 flyover in Lincoln on Friday.

Emergency services were called the incident at 4.35pm on June 21 following a collision between an Audi A3 and a DAF truck.

The driver of the Audi, an 83 year-old woman from Potterhanworth, was taken by air ambulance to the Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham.

The woman is in a stable condition, Lincolnshire Police said in a statement.

The driver of the van is a 41 year-old man from North Hykeham, who suffered a neck injury.

The road was closed until 8.30pm.
