Lincoln police investigate suspected stabbing

Suspicious incident? Police are investigating what appears to be a stabbing incident on Newport.

A section of Newport in Lincoln was taped off on July 13 while Lincolnshire Police carried out a suspected stabbing investigation.

A man was found outside Crosstrend House, Newport Road, on Saturday morning with what was believed to be a stab wound.

He was taken to Lincoln County Hospital to be treated for the injury, and he is presently in a stable condition.

Lincolnshire Police removed the tape and markers from along the pavement, stretching to Lillys Road, at around 10.30am.

Police are presently unsure on the motive and have little information. They are appealing for witnesses.
