First look: Moka and Shack nightclub in Lincoln

Ready to rock: The Lincolnite goes on a first-look tour of Moka and Shack before a series of opening events this week.

After sharing designs of the refurbished venue in Lincoln, The Lincolnite went on a first-look tour of Moka and Shack before a series of opening events this week.

The popular club on Silver Street, formerly Ritzy, JJ’s and Pulse, closed for redevelopment on June 29.

The club will reopen on Thursday, August 15, for an A-level results party. A grand opening VIP party will then be held on Friday and on Saturday another big party is planned.

Entry starts at 10.30pm and the club is open until 3.30am.

The Moka room upstairs will play dance, electronic dance and R&B music, while Shack on the ground floor is set to play chart, party and retro songs.

Improvement work, said to cost around £500,000, is almost complete, so The Lincolnite could have a tour of the improvements.
