Bikes and tools stolen in Lincoln shed burglaries

Shed burglaries: Police are asking residents to make sure their sheds are secure after a number of burglaries.

Lincolnshire Police are looking for information after a spike of thefts from sheds in the south of Lincoln.

Between October 13 and 19 in the St Catherine’s area, a number of bikes and tools were stolen out of sheds along Hamilton Road, Frank Swaby Court, Colegrave Street and St Catherine’s.

Police are urging residents to make sure their sheds are properly secure, and make sure they use quality locks.

Officers also suggest that there are reasonably priced shed alarms available in DIY shops.

In addition, valuable goods should be kept in the home rather than sheds if possible.

Anyone with any information on these crimes can call PCSO Gary Jacobs via 101.
