Across the UK, the Australian-themed bar brand Walkabout is getting a fresh makeover, and the Lincoln bar is the third in the country to get a £500,000 refit.
Set to open its doors officially on November 21, The Lincolnite visited Walkabout on the High Street for a first-look preview of the revamped space.
Alongside the fresh new decor, layout and ‘Reef Bar’ with projections of Australian scenes, renovations to the premises on Lincoln High Street have also created 20 new job posts – a bigger recruitment than originally reported.
The new layout offers a sports bar and pool tables upstairs, as well as an al-fresco dining area at the front.
The bar is also launching a brand new contemporary menu with an assortment of fresh meals sides and drinks such as chicken tempura strips and seasonal favourites with an ‘Aussie’ theme.
Lincoln Walkabout General Manager Dave Austin said: “The best bit is the fresh new vibe. It will still be the Walkabout that everyone loves and we will still be hosting our popular party nights and karaoke.”
Sales and Marketing Executive Rachael Hamilton added: “We are trying to bring the Australian spirit to Lincoln. It’s so different from any other bar in the city and now we can really flaunt it.”
