Arrest after man assaulted in Lincoln

A man has been arrested and bailed following an alleged assault in Lincoln.

A 43-year-old man sustained bruising and swelling to his face after an alleged assault on Lincoln High Street outside the House of Fraser, at around 3.30am on December 14.

Following the incident, a suspect ran off down the High Street in the direction of St Mary’s Street, police said.

A 19-year-old man was arrested in relation to the incident. He is on bail pending further enquires.
