Body in the river: Police have recovered a body from River Witham in Lincoln on Sunday.

Police have recovered a body from River Witham in Lincoln on Sunday, February 9.

A rower on the river reported to police at 11.20am seeing a body in the water in the Stamp End / Spa Road area.

A police underwater search unit is at the scene to recover the body.

A post-mortem examination and identification will take place in due course, Lincolnshire Police said.

More information will be released as it becomes available.
