Man arrested after girl allegedly assaulted in Lincoln

A man has been arrested after a 10-year-old girl was allegedly assaulted in Lincoln.

Police were called to a house in the Sincil Bank area of Lincoln at around 1.30pm on Sunday, May 11.

The girl living there ran to her home and told her father that a man grabbed her and attempted to drag her off her bike.

She escaped his grip, dropped the bike and ran home and gave her father a description of the man.

The young girl was not injured.

Enquiries led officers to a man from the local area, who was arrested and is being questioned about the incident at Lincoln Police station.

Police are appealing for anyone who was in the area of Sincil Bank around the time of the incident and saw anything suspicious to call 101.
