Truck driver dies in A46 Lincoln crash

Driver killed: A truck driver has died from his injuries after a collision with a car towing a caravan on the A46 bypass in Lincoln.

The truck driver being treated for serious injuries after a collision with a car towing a caravan on the A46 bypass in Lincoln has unfortunately died.

Police confirmed the deceased as 41-year-old Brent Waterhouse, a man from the Sutton in Ashfield area, and his next of kin have been informed.

The incident happened at around 11am. Air ambulance were in attendance at the scene.

The A46 was closed off between Pennells roundabout and the new Whisby Road roundabout near the Pride of Lincoln.

The road closure and diversions are still in place, and police are asking motorists to avoid the area if possible.
