Death probe ongoing: Police continue to investigate a recent unexplained death of a 56-year-old woman on Portland Street.

Police continue to investigate a recent unexplained death of a 56-year-old woman on Portland Street, Lincoln.

As previously reported, officers were called to the incident at around 8.33am on August 5.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two men, aged 39 and 41, were arrested. They have both now been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

The incident is the fifth in the area resulting in death since April, 2014.

Detective Inspector Suzanne Davies is appealing for witnesses to come forward.

Anyone who may have heard or seen anything suspicious in the Portland Street area between 5pm on Monday, August 4 and 10am on Tuesday, August 5 should call 101 quoting incident number 73 of August 5.
