The Lincoln Gay Pride returns to the city centre this month, bringing with it a host of live music acts and activities.
Lincoln Pride 20 will be held at City Square on September 28 from 12pm until 6.30pm, with an after party running straight after until 6am on September 29.
The free event will be officially opened by the Deputy Mayor of Lincoln Councillor Andrew Kerry, followed by a range of musicians, drag acts, acoustic singers and comedy acts.
Top acts include Big Bruvaz, David Stuart (an Olly Murs tribute act), X Factor’s Kitty Brucknell, Jessica Steele from The Voice, and Ashley Collins from Britian’s Got Talent.
As well as acts on stage, visitors can enjoy over 30 stalls, fairground rides, and plenty of food to try.
The after party will be held at The Scene nightclub on Newland, featuring a number of music and drag acts plus a DJ set, running until the early hours.
Organiser Adam Shorter said: “The Organising Committee have been working non-stop for the past three months to pull together a significantly larger event than 2013. So much so, that we are putting a road closure in place on Waterside South for the day.
“We have over 35 stalls showing their services and products, as well as hot food vendors, a fully licensed bar, children’s fairground rides and a larger stage than 2013.
“We would be lying if we said this has been easy, as with the increased size comes more planning and responsibility, but working in conjuction with the Council Safety Advisory Group we hope that we have done this to everyones satisfaction.
“We have some great sponsors on board this year including The Scene Lincoln, GMB Union, Places Homes Lincoln and Enterprise Car Rentals.
“Weather is looking to be on our side and all of our acts local and national are really excited to be performing including Jessica Steele who appeared on The Voice and Big Brovaz headlining!”
