Shane Harrison, Cleansing Services Officer at the city council, said: “Working with our contractors, CORY Environmental, we will be reorganising bin collections in several areas of the city following growth over the last few years.

“Making the changes now means we can build some flexibility into the rounds so that as and when any future housing is built we can accommodate that.

“We will try to keep these changes as minimal as possible. Residents affected by the changes will receive a letter with information on their new collection day.

“We would ask people to please present their bins in the usual place before 7am on the day of collection. This will ensure your bin is emptied without any disruption to your service, as some vehicles will be operating earlier than at present.”
