There are still limited places available to a guest lecture in Lincoln featuring the RAF Red Arrows team leader.

The talk, scheduled as part of the University of Lincoln’s ‘Great Minds’ lecture series, will take place on November 7.

Squadron Leader David Montenegro, known by his call sign Red 1, will examine the roles of teamwork, leadership and trust, and describe how and why the Red Arrows – the official aerobatic team of the RAF – perform on a global scale.

The pilot, who flew with the RAF Scampton-based team between 2009 and 2011 before taking the role of team leader this September, will deliver his lecture at 1.15pm at the Engine Shed.

The lecture will be followed by a Q&A session from members of the audience.

The University of Lincoln’s Great Minds guest lecture series aims to provide inspirational insights into different aspects of society for school and college students in Years 11, 12 and 13.

A limited number of places are also available to the public.
